Bottega Veneta’s WAVES, a unique celebration in the heart of Dubai, is a night dedicated to musical and cultural exchange. This immersive experience, brought to life under the creative vision of Matthieu Blazy, combines music, sound, and artistic synergy, drawing artists from across the Middle East and beyond. Held at the multidisciplinary space Concrete (Instagram), WAVES stands as a testament to Bottega Veneta’s dedication to cultural advocacy, fostering a space where traditional heritage and contemporary soundscapes converge.
WAVES is set in an intimate, atmospheric environment designed by Lebanese architect Carl Gerges, who collaborated closely with creative director Matthieu Blazy to create a layout inspired by the natural landscape of the desert. The space features low, concentric seating on soft, sand-coloured surfacing, mimicking both desert dunes and the undulating patterns of sound waves. The architectural design was the perfect backdrop for the evening’s mix of music and experimental sound.
Adding another layer of sensory experience, Lebanese artist Tarek Atoui installed a spatial composition with experimental instruments, creating an ever-changing soundscape. His installation blurred the lines between digital, analogue, and primitive sounds, offering guests an evolving audio experience.
WAVES will play host to a number of regional artists, all of whom will contribute something unique to the event.
