Founded in 2024 by Mariana Wehbe, We Design Beirut has quickly become the heartbeat of Beirut’s creative scene. The city-wide platform transforms historic spaces into vibrant hubs where designers, artisans, students, and institutions come together to collaborate, experiment, and celebrate Lebanese creativity. Its second edition in October 2025 turned the city itself into a canvas, activating streets and landmarks with installations, workshops, and cultural programming that inspired conversation and connection, alongside Partner Samer AlAmeen.
Before entering the world of culture and design, Wehbe spent over 15 years at DHL, where she developed the discipline, structure, and systems thinking that now shape her strategic approach. Born in Abu Dhabi and raised in Florida, she eventually returned to Beirut to explore and engage with the city’s creative landscape. From founding MWPR, a boutique PR and cultural strategy agency representing designers, studios, and institutions across the region, to leading a series of impactful projects, Wehbe has dedicated her career to promoting Lebanon’s creativity, resilience, and community on both regional and international stages.
Today, We Design Beirut stands as a dynamic platform that champions Lebanese talent, fosters meaningful collaborations, and celebrates cultural heritage. By connecting local innovation with global audiences, it continues to spotlight Lebanon’s design scene while cultivating a dialogue around creativity, craft, and cultural identity.
