Fresh off opening its largest flagship store in Beijing, South Korean luxury sunglasses brand Gentle Monster has released its latest campaign for the upcoming F/W22 season.
For the F/W 22 campaign, the Seoul-based brand has enlisted Georgian photographer Davit Giorgadze to capture a space-time of Autumn in Berlin. The campaign is shot through a film-inspired aesthetic, as well as monochromatic leather heavy styling.Â
The brand is known for its futuristic-looking silhouettes, where eyewear is reimagined into something that looks like it’s from the Matrix. For its F/W22 collection, the brand reimagined three of its classic silhouettes and new colourways for the fall season. Standout pieces include the Tambu, a bold rectangular modern look, available in seasonal shades. The Le silhouette comes in a tortoise colourway, as well as translucent yellow which the brand calls KC1. The silhouette has also been updated and features an oversized oval lens that conveys the classic elegant look.Â
For those who prefer a larger lens, the brand has also offered the Jeff, an oversized square-shaped lens that’s been accentuated with a sleek acetate lens in yellow. All three of the silhouettes feature the Korean brand Zeiss lens, which offers 99.9 per cent UV protection, ensuring that you not only look stylish but that you also have the required protection to enjoy those bright fall mornings.
Gentle Monster is well known for its futuristic frames, stunning showcases and installations, as well as campaigns to match. In recent months the brand has not only opened its latest fully kitted out flagship store in one of it’s biggest markets, it’s also had new installations in collaboration with Selfridges London. The brand also linked up with Premier League Tottenham striker Son Heung-min for a collaboration.Â
The F/W 22 collection is available in stores and online and retails for $260 and $320.Â
