When Breitling and Aston Martin come together, it feels less like a partnership and more like a reunion. Both were born from a fascination with speed, one measured it, the other mastered it. Now, in a global, multi-year alliance, Breitling has become Official Watch Partner to Aston Martin and the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, reigniting a shared legacy that stretches from cockpit instruments to championship circuits.

The collaboration spans the full Aston Martin universe, from the handcrafted performance cars built in Gaydon and St Athan to the team’s pursuit of podiums in Formula 1. But, it all begins with a statement piece: the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, a watch that signals Breitling’s emphatic return to F1.Breitling

The parallels between these brands run deep. In 1907, Léon Breitling introduced the Vitesse, a precision instrument capable of measuring speeds up to 250 miles or kilometres per hour, a breakthrough so exact it was adopted by Swiss police. Around the same time, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were racing their hand-built machine up Aston Hill in England, winning a victory that gave birth to the Aston Martin name

By 1959, Aston Martin had entered Formula 1, while Breitling’s Navitimer, originally designed in 1952 as a wrist-worn cockpit instrument for aviators, found its way from the skies to the track. Drivers like Graham Hill and Jim Clark wore the piece, carrying its slide-rule precision into racing’s most demanding arenas.

The cultural crossover didn’t stop there. In the 1960s, the Breitling Top Time and Aston Martin DB5 both became symbols of modern engineering and cinematic cool, appearing together in the James Bond universe. Speed, sophistication, and spectacle, the formula was already set.

Limited to 1,959 pieces, a tribute to Aston Martin’s first Formula 1 entry, the new Navitimer channels the intensity of race day.

Every detail of the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team is engineered with intent. Aston Martin Racing Green and flashes of lime mirror the team’s livery, while a lightweight titanium case, a first for the Navitimer, introduces a sharper, more technical edge. The carbon-fibre dial draws directly from the materials used inside an F1 cockpit, reinforcing the watch’s motorsport DNA. Even the textured leather strap takes cues from a racing harness, and enhanced luminosity ensures clarity long after the lights go out.

Through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01 takes centre stage. COSC-certified and offering a 70-hour power reserve, it is built for precision under pressure. The specially developed matte-black rotor, crafted from tungsten and coated in durable PVD, carries the Aston Martin Formula One Team logo. Engravings reading “One of 1959” and “Instruments for Drivers” underscore the watch’s exclusivity and heritage.
