Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils the Reverso Tribute Geographic
This Is Yung

Nearly a century after the Reverso debuted on the polo fields of 1930s India, Jaeger-LeCoultre (Instagram) is once again reconfiguring the iconic swivelling case for today’s world traveller. The Swiss Maison introduces the Reverso Tribute Geographic, a dual-faced timepiece that blends classic Art Deco geometry with modern horological complexity. Offered in stainless steel or a limited edition of 150 in 18k pink gold, this new chapter in the Reverso story is powered by an entirely new in-house movement: Calibre 834.

On the surface, the Tribute Geographic adheres to the clean, symmetrical codes of the Reverso Tribute line, with a sunray-brushed front dial in deep blue or warm chocolate brown and a large date display integrated with architectural precision. Flip the case, however, and the world opens up, literally. The reverse side displays a multilayered world time complication, with engraved city names encircling a rotating 24-hour ring and a laser-etched world map finished with hand-applied lacquer. Rather than rotating the city disc as in most world timers, Jaeger-LeCoultre engineers reversed the convention, allowing the city names to remain static while the 24-hour ring jumps hourly for enhanced readability.

The level of detail here is nothing short of obsessive. From the patented dual-disc Grande Date display, which ensures both numerals sit on the same visual plane, to the miniature map created by layering and polishing lacquer over laser-carved steel, every element is carefully considered. The entire movement, shaped to fit the Reverso’s rectangular case, was developed from scratch within the brand’s Vallée de Joux manufacture, in a showcase of the 180 watch making skills housed under one roof.

For those who appreciate both form and function, the Reverso Tribute Geographic makes a compelling case, pun intended, as a sophisticated traveller’s watch. Each model comes with two interchangeable Casa Fagliano straps, reflecting Jaeger-LeCoultre’s longstanding relationship with the Argentinean leather atelier. The steel version is paired with a canvas-and-leather strap and a classic calfskin alternative, while the gold model comes with golden-tan calfskin and black alligator.

With this release, Jaeger-LeCoultre doesn’t just celebrate a complication, it reaffirms the Reverso as a canvas for innovation, one that continues to evolve without losing sight of its 1931 origins. Whether you’re crossing time zones or simply admiring craftsmanship, the Tribute Geographic offers a wrist-sized reminder that great design endures.
