At 2025 Milan Design Week, Maserati (Instagram) and Giorgetti (Instagram), two iconic names in Italian design, unveiled a joint project that bridges luxury car manufacturing with high-end furniture design. The collaboration includes a new interior collection and a one-off version of Maseratiโ€™s Grecale SUV, customized under the brandโ€™s Fuoriserie program.

Rather than merging two distinct aesthetics, the partnership aims to highlight common values between the brands: craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a focus on experience-driven design. While both brands operate in different sectors, they each appeal to customers who value quality and personalization.

The centrepiece of the collaboration is the Grecale Giorgetti Edition, a fully electric, custom-built version of the famed SUV, designed in Maseratiโ€™s new Officine Fuoriserie customization workshop in Modena. The car features a bespoke colour scheme called Gleaming Dusk, copper accents, and a denim-inspired interiorโ€”complete with wool-blend fabrics created by Giorgetti for this project. The use of wood for the Maserati Trident logo on the Alcantara headrests marks a first for the brand, blending natural materials with modern design.

Klaus Busse, Maseratiโ€™s Head of Design, emphasized that both Maserati vehicles and Giorgetti furnishings are meant to provoke emotion and offer more than functional value. โ€œThis Grecale Giorgetti Edition is a statement of refinement,โ€ he said, describing the one-off model as a โ€œrolling expression of craftsmanship.โ€

Giancarlo Bosio, Giorgettiโ€™s Creative Director, echoed the sentiment, noting that the collaboration wasnโ€™t about translating car design into furniture, but about absorbing Maseratiโ€™s design ethos into Giorgettiโ€™s language. โ€œWe wanted the result to feel authentic, not like a branding exercise,โ€ he said.

The accompanying furniture collection draws on nautical and mythological themes, referencing Maseratiโ€™s logo and naming conventions. Pieces such as the Nereide modular sofa and Seidon sofa combine sculptural form with practical functionality. Coffee tables in the series take inspiration from the carโ€™s features like air intakes and flowing aerodynamics, while armchairs and poufs are designed with a strong emphasis on comfort and visual presence.

Both the car and the furniture line were previewed in Milan at Giorgetti Spiga showroom and the Maserati showroom.
