In a move that once again affirms its reign in the world of motorsport-inspired luxury horology, TAG Heuer (Instagram) has released three striking iterations of its iconic Monaco collection. Designed for collectors, speed freaks, and watch aficionados alike, the trio includes the avant-garde TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, the nostalgic Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch, and the racetrack-inspired Monaco Chronograph x Gulf.

Together, they celebrate everything that makes the Monaco series a modern legendโ€”bold innovation, deep motorsport roots, and unapologetic design.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph: Titanium, Transformed

TAG Heuer

Leading the launch is the TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph, now reimagined in a remarkable new materialโ€”TH-Titanium. Developed entirely in-house over four years, this titanium alloy undergoes a proprietary thermal process that reveals an irregular, almost organic pattern that shifts with the light, making each case visually unique.

But the innovation goes beyond looks. The watch houses the ultra-lightweight Calibre TH81-00 movement (crafted in titanium and weighing just 30 grams), offering split-seconds chronograph functionality, also known as rattrapante. With a case weighing just 86 grams including strap and buckle, itโ€™s built for both performance and presence.

Highlights include a transparent sapphire bezel and dial, lime green accents evoking racing circuits, and a hand-stitched calfskin strap. Itโ€™s the purest expression yet of TAG Heuerโ€™s fusion of craft and cutting-edge.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch: A Tribute to Racingโ€™s Golden Age

TAG Heuer

Marking TAG Heuerโ€™s new role as title partner of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco, the limited-edition Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch draws design inspiration from the brandโ€™s 1960s and โ€™70s racing stopwatches.

Produced in a run of just 970 pieces, the watch blends black DLC-coated titanium with a high-contrast red, white, and black dial layout for legibility at speed. At the heart of the piece is Calibre 11, a mechanical connection to the original Monaco, and a further links to the collectionโ€™s racing roots.

Vintage motorsport meets modern finesse with a black perforated calfskin strap reminiscent of old-school driving gloves, making this a must-have for collectors and fans of cinematic cool.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf: Racing Icons, Reunited

TAG Heuer

Finally, TAG Heuer returns to one of its most beloved motorsport pairings with the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf. A tribute to the iconic Gulf Oil livery made famous by Steve McQueen in Le Mans, this piece pairs TAG Heuerโ€™s signature Monaco silhouette with Gulfโ€™s unmistakable blue and orange racing stripes.

The piece is limited to just 971 pieces with a case made of sandblasted titanium. At 39mm, this stunning tribute features a white textile strap made from the same fabric used in professional racing suits.

Itโ€™s a continuation of a partnership that celebrates both racing heritage and daring design. With clean color contrasts, bold branding, and limited production, the Monaco x Gulf is a love letter to high-speed legacy and visual swagger.

In these three new releases, TAG Heuer has managed to encapsulate the full spirit of the Monacoโ€”technically groundbreaking, deeply cinematic, and rooted in motorsportโ€™s adrenaline-fueled aesthetic.
