In a presentation held at London’s illustrious Royal College of Physicians, the duo transported us to a realm where fashion seamlessly intertwines with art and emotion.
For this ethereal journey, the designers drew inspiration from the captivating brushstrokes of French Illustrator Francois Berthoud, delving into the mesmerizing pages of ‘Facsimile.’ Berthoud’s evocative artistry, once gracing the pages of Vogue, Numero, and Interview, stirred a palette of captivating black, grey, and brown hues, birthing a collection that epitomizes sheer opulence.
In a dialogue that transcends time and space, Noon By Noor beckons us to look within, to traverse the corridors of our inner world. This season, the creative forces behind the brand paid homage to their roots, channeling the rich tapestry of art, culture, and the enchanting allure of home.
This was masterfully captured through a mesmerizing catwalk film, a spectacle that unfolded within the grounds of the RAK Art Foundation in Bahrain. Â A symphony of contrasts played out on the runway, where the juxtaposition of light and shadow, East and West, masculinity and femininity, echoed through each ensemble. Against the backdrop of Shaikh Rashid’s original masterpiece ‘CUSP’ (2020), a visual poem capturing the celestial ballet between the sun and the moon, Noon By Noor painted a picture of enigmatic allure.
“The very fabric of our designs is an extension of our journey. We embarked on a visual exploration, capturing the essence of movement and life both within the studio and the embrace of nature. Each piece dances with the wind, embodying a living, breathing art form that graces the body,” the designers shared.
As the Bahraini sun cast its enchanting spell, elongated silhouettes emerged, casting a spell of their own. The Fall Winter 2023 collection unveiled a cascade of elegance, where flowing skirts and coats caressed the floor with an air of timeless grace.
With a masterful interplay between opaque textiles and delicate transparencies, Noon By Noor orchestrated a harmonious wardrobe ensemble inspired by the concept of shared menswear aesthetics, a true sartorial symbiosis. This reinterpretation of seasonal dressing unveiled a collection destined to stand the test of time, embracing the timeless spirit of versatility.
Elegant cowl-front dresses, their lines as crisp as a masterful brushstroke, effortlessly merged precision and ease, embodying the fluidity of a t-shirt’s embrace. Nautical charm made a cameo, adorning t-shirt-shaped shirts and tunics, a nod to classic sailor collars.
Journeying further, we are greeted by the sleek embrace of quilted coats and jackets, coalescing with dresses to evoke a sense of contemporary poise. Bias cuts, meticulously sculpted from the softest melton wools, unfurl in languid grace, while meticulously tailored jackets, an epitome of precision, reveal patchwork narratives rendered in deep, evocative noir.
In a celebration of nostalgia intertwined with a dash of New York’s minimalist spirit, Noon By Noor bestows upon us a vision that marries tradition with avant-garde allure. This is the familiar made new, an ode to the elegance of yesteryears refracted through the prism of innovation.
