Originally designed for Formula 1 drivers in 1999, the PUMA Speedcat quickly shifted from the racetrack to the streets, becoming a staple of early 2000s sneaker culture. Now, it’s making a high-octane return, merging motorsport heritage with contemporary street style.
PUMA Middle East (Instagram) is celebrating the relaunch with two exclusive activations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, creating must-attend events that blend sneakers with dining, art, and local culture.
Dubai
In Dubai, PUMA has teamed up with restaurant Lulu & The Beanstalk to serve up an exclusive Speedcat Menu until February 8. The limited-time menu offers five specially curated combo meals, each served in Speedcat-themed packaging. But the real kicker? Every order comes with a scratch card—and if you’re lucky, you’ll score a free pair of Speedcats. With only a select number of winning cards each day, sneakerheads will need to act fast to claim their prize.
Saudi Arabia
Over in Saudi Arabia, PUMA is tapping into the country’s vibrant art scene with a one-of-a-kind collaboration with acclaimed artist Rex Chouk. Known for his bold, pop-culture-infused works, Chouk has designed a limited-edition Speedcat vinyl figure featuring his signature character sporting Speedcats and PUMA apparel.
This collectible will be available in Jeddah’s Red Sea Mall, Riyadh’s Solitaire Mall, and Nakheel Mall in Dammam until February 24. Just like the sneakers themselves, the Chouka Speedcat vinyl figure is set to become a must-have for collectors and sneaker enthusiasts alike.
Reintroduced in the summer of 2024 for its 25th anniversary, the PUMA Speedcat has already made waves with celebrity endorsements and limited-edition drops.
For those eager to get their hands on a pair, the Speedcat is now available at PUMA stores, PUMA.com, and select retailers. Keep an eye on PUMA’s social media channels for the latest updates and exclusive drops.
