Collab kings Supreme are ending the year with a bang. The streetwear brand has become well-known for its collaborations and, in true Supreme style, are rounding out 2022 with yet another. This time Supreme has teamed up with skiwear brand Spyder.

Since it’s inception in 1978, Spyder has been changing the face of skiwear, and with this collaboration, the company is keeping true to it’s roots. The new collection is certainly skiwear, but designed with more than a nod to contemporary streetwear. The collection is laden with comfort-focused pieces that feature Spyder’s arachnid motif and classic fleece sweat suits. Pieces in the collection come in three colourways, black, blue/red, and green/brown. The fleece jackets feature an all-over web-like pattern.

Each of the jackets features Supreme branding in Spyder’s signature font on the left side of the chest. The Spyder motif can be seen on right side pants pockets. The collection also includes collared L/S tops that feature a 3D, futuristic web pattern and Supreme branding that are highlighted in black, orange and yellow/white. Included in the collection is a pair of matching balaclavas in the same colour palette as the rest of the collection, and which feature co-branded detailing and the web graphic.

Supreme

Spyder was founded in 1978 by championship-winning skier and coach, David Jacobs and aims to bring a contemporary and refreshed look to the winter sport. The company noted the gap in the market for fashionable ski apparel early on and has since become one of the most recognizable labels worn by skiers and other winter sports athletes. The brand first offered skiwear and other racing accessories, and has now, with this move, entered the world of streetwear, combining functional athletic design with streetwear’s often more contemporary appeal.

Gucci and Armani have also recently launched their own skiwear and aprés-ski lines for this season.
