UrArtU Gallery in Alserkal Avenue unveils a bold transformation by Crosby Studios, led by designer Harry Nuriev, merging floristry, architecture, and immersive storytelling. The 220-square-meter gallery and flower space is designed to host exhibitions, workshops, installations, pop-ups, and brand activations, turning flowers into a spatial experience rather than mere decoration.
Central to the design is a six-meter-high aluminium orchid sculpture weighing 250 kilograms, blurring lines between nature and construction. Custom orchid motifs appear in door handles, while industrial-luxury materials, including Italian marble, microcement, and aluminium composites, create a textured, reflective environment. A red-lit walk-in fridge adds both visual and functional drama. The upstairs area and coffee corner provide flexible spaces for workshops and events.
Founder Gurgen Yeritsyan emphasizes that UrArtU positions floristry as a cultural and architectural language, inviting visitors to engage emotionally with flowers as art, design, and spatial expression.
And that was The Week According to YUNG.
