Vacheron Constantin (Instagram) has always moved differently. The Maison doesn’t just make watches; it shapes time into culture. This month, the world’s oldest continuously operating watchmaker marked its 270th anniversary with an intimate Gala Dinner in Dubai, honouring both its extraordinary legacy and its future trajectory. Hosted with the support of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the evening brought together collectors, clients, media, and friends of the brand, reinforcing the Maison’s long-standing bond with the Middle East and its creative communities.

The celebration unfolded across three chapters: Heritage, Mastery, and Horizons. This narrative structure mirrored the Maison’s journey, the traditions that forged it, the technical excellence that sustains it, and the imagination shaping its next era.

Throughout the evening, guests encountered some of Vacheron Constantin’s most exceptional creations. These included the new Grand Lady Kalla, the Les Cabinotiers Celestia Astronomical Grand Complication 3600, Métiers d’Art one-of-a-kind pieces, the Travelling Collection Traditionelle and Patrimony and a range of novelties and heritage icons.

“Since the turn of the century, Vacheron Constantin has taken each decade anniversary as an opportunity to talk about its history and the values handed down through the centuries. These milestone anniversaries celebrate a philosophy that combines mechanical research and innovation with a deep commitment to craft and a stylistic approach that is both progressive and highly respectful of classical elegance.” noted Christian Selmoni, Style and Heritage Director.

But the evening was not only about watches. It was also about place.
The Gala Dinner highlighted the Maison’s deep cultural engagement with the UAE, featuring a menu curated by Emirati chef Khaled Alsaadi alongside a live performance by the Emirati Music Association Orchestra. Both were thoughtful reminders that craftsmanship exists in many forms: culinary, musical, artisanal and that luxury, at its most resonant, is about connection rather than display.

What the Dubai celebration made clear is that legacy is not static. It evolves. For Vacheron Constantin, 270 years is not a closing chapter it is a forward stride. The Maison continues to explore new expressions of movement, form, and emotion through pieces like the Grand Lady Kalla’s transformable silhouettes, or the Traditionnelle Openface’s contemporary transparency.

To celebrate time is to understand how it flows, what it preserves, and how it transforms. In Dubai, Vacheron Constantin reminded us that true luxury is not simply about possessing time, it is about honouring it.
