The 2025 Met Gala took place last night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, setting the tone for a season of iconic couture and celebrating fashion at its most meaningful.

This year, the night returned with Superfine: Tailoring Black Style as its theme, digging deep into the roots of Black dandyism, a style tradition born from resistance, pride, and the art of showing up loud, sharp, and unapologetically seen. This theme, inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book Slaves to Fashion, emphasised how black individuals have used style to assert their identity and challenge societal norms.

Co-chaired by Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, Colman Domingo, and A$AP Rocky, the evening’s dress code, “Tailored For You,” encouraged attendees to interpret the theme through personalised fashion, celebrating individuality and cultural heritage.

Sharp silhouettes, personal storytelling, and more than a few silk lapels turned the Met steps into a stylish masterclass in identity. We’re breaking down everyone who nailed it with the most unforgettable looks from Met Gala 2025.
