The Strand has teamed up with Bottega Veneta to release a trio of ultra-luxe leather items. The standout piece from the collab is Bottega’s Intrecciato leather weave. Each item in the collab features The Strand’s logo front and centre. Bottega’s new creative director Matthieu Blazy is an avid fan of The Strand and even commissioned The New Yorker to create five cartoons to celebrate the collaboration. The bags are available at Bottega Veneta. 

Balenciaga x Sky High Farm Workwear debut charitable collaboration

Five Things You May Have Missed This Weekend

Sky High Farm is a project founded by Dan Colen that aims to “improve access to fresh nutritious food for those in need.” The artists often collaborated with the fashion industry to raise funds for their charities. The latest project is a collaborative effort with Balenciaga to release denim shirts and jackets for charity. All proceeds will go to Sky High Farm’s food access program. The workwear is available on Sky High Farm’s website. 

Burberry cancel SS 23 at London Fashion Week

London-based Burberry, have released a statement that it will cancel its upcoming SS/23 show at London Fashion Week. The news comes in the wake of the passing of British head of state, Queen Elizabeth II.

“It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. As a mark of respect, we have decided to cancel our Spring/Summer 2023 runway show due to take place on 17 September in London,” the statement read. 

Helmut Lang reconnects with UNIQLO for classic cut jeans

Helmut Lang and UNIQLO have come together again to release Classic Cut jean that features a minimalist style. The latest release from the pair will see an array of unisex jeans that are meant to be worn by all ages. Stitching and buttoning will all feature complimentary hues to deliver a crisp monochrome look. The collection is made up of recycled organic cotton. 

Lacoste Collaborates with Civilist

Five Things You May Have Missed This Weekend

Lacoste is racking up some pretty iconic collaborations. The company have just struck a partnership with Berlin-based Civilist on a capsule that features 11 pieces that cross between skatewear and sophistication.  The collection will feature Lacoste’s signature Polo Shirt, as well as t-shirts, jackets, as well as an array of socks and bucket hats. The collection is available at Civilist.
