The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) was buzzing with art, film, fashion, and entertainment luminaries on November 4. They all gathered to celebrate two remarkable honorees, artist Judy Baca and filmmaker David Fincher, under the co-chairmanship of LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio. But one name that stole the spotlight was Gucci (Instagram), led by Creative Director Sabato De Sarno.

During the grand gala, Gucci presented Ancora Notte, a captivating eveningwear collection designed by De Sarno. Building on the success of Gucci Ancora, Ancora Notte beckons us into the realm of the night. This collection, just like its predecessor, stays rooted in reality, celebrating the joy and humanity that come alive after dark.

Every design in Ancora Notte tells a story. The collection breathes life into precious embroideries, inspired by Gucci’s 1950s minaudière bags archive. Micro shorts make a triumphant return, adding a modern twist to sinuous crepe dresses that pay homage to the ’90s. Beaded fringes and lace inserts adorn flowing silhouettes. The dresses feature bowed shirt necklines, blurring the lines between daywear and eveningwear. It’s all about how you choose to wear them, as boundaries fade, and everyone revels in expressing themselves through their attire.

The collection was worn by an exceptional cast of models. Jiahui Zhang, Fadia Ghaab, Nyajuok Gatdet, Violet Hume, Heather Strongarm, Camilla Orner, Agel Akol, and Sam Case, all debutantes on the Gucci Ancora runway, added their unique charm to the event. Top models Mariacarla Boscono, Vittoria Ceretti, Kirsty Hume, and Abbey Lee epitomized the collection’s glamour and elegance.
