KENZO has released its latest drop by NIGO for the upcoming Spring Summer 2022 season, which will serve as the fourth and final collection to be released by NIGO as part of this season.
The collection is the final piece in NIGO’s second runway collection for the house. Continuing in the vein of earlier collections, the SS22 collection pays homage to the poppy flower. The designer revisits the poppy which was a key motif in the original designs of Kenzo Takada. The flower motif is reimagined to pay homage to the brand’s heritage and applied to two pieces in the capsule.
The latest drop serves as a genderless capsule made up of a cotton poplin Hawaiian shirt with a poppy print, while in another garment, a relaxed t-shirt constructed from jersey, the poppy is printed in a singular form on the back. The poppy print is also featured on matching shorts and skirts. The single poppy will also feature on the pockets of t-shirts and the back pockets of cotton twill shorts. The capsule is made up of a colour palette of white, black, navy, and pink.
This fourth and final capsule of the collection is a continued showcase of NIGO’s ability to bring his reimagined understanding of floral prints to the French house’s modern vision. The collection will be made available for purchase on May 6th in-store and online at Kenzo.com.
