Loro Piana has established itself as one of the most luxurious brands on the planet. Its soft cashmere and wool garments, and accessories have become known for their luxurious comfort. The brand has recently released its FW/ 2022-2023 collection, and as expected it is made up of luxury items in time for the holiday season.
It doesn’t matter if you’re enjoying the great outdoors or spending time in contact with the elements, be it in higher altitudes or the city, the collection, charged with en Plein air vitality is suited for every occasion. The collection expands the sportive and active posture that is integral to the brand’s mindset into a whole way of being and dressing.
The collection
The FW/22-23 collection is as you’d expect from the brand – soft, enveloping, with accents of texture. Crafted in a natural palette, it is a luxurious take on dressing in the snow. Shearling and cashmere serve as the main protagonists, and Loro Piana’s signature white denim pants make a return. The collection is filled with outerwear, knitwear and separates that could be enjoyed as singular items or mixed to keep you warm in the extreme cold.
Womenswear features technical jackets, vests, shearling or CashFur blousons and long coats. Knitted ponchos, hooded scarves, and wool leggings complete the wardrobe.
In Menswear the feel is similar, with a mix of wool Icer jackets, cashmere blousons, sweater overshirts in cashmere and shearling, as well as knitted bombers and textured high-neck pullovers.
Accessories come in the form of shearling boots, calfskin and CashFur snow boots, as well as the Sesia Tote and Extra Pocket bags, which all get a mountain makeover, and are rendered in CashFur. The brand has also introduced CashFur to its hats. The reversible Zita bucket hat comes in Wind fabric with a CashFur lining, while the Alaskan Hat is completely rendered in CashFur.
CashFur
CashFur is an original interpretation of cashmere, a signature material at Loro Piana. The fabric is derived from a careful selection of the noblest cashmere fibre, skilfully worked to create very thin ribbons which are then joined to an equally thin silk thread. The material is Loro Piana’s innovative and responsible way of interpreting fur.
The material was first introduced in 2020 and is now presented as a seasonal focus in the Fall Winter 2022-2023 collection.
