A celebration of heritage, innovation, and artistry unfolded in Abu Dhabi as Piaget (Instagram), the Swiss Maison renowned for its Haute Horlogerie and High Jewellery, marked its 150th anniversary.
In collaboration with Abu Dhabi Retail and under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), Piaget hosted an extraordinary gala at the opulent Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. This milestone event not only showcased Piaget’s dazzling new collection, “Essence of Extraleganza,” but also cemented Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a global luxury destination.
The evening was nothing short of spectacular, with a guest list that read like a who’s who of global celebrities and cultural icons. Attendees included Thai actor and Piaget brand ambassador Apo Nattawin, Indian royalty Padmanabh Singh, actress Aditi Rao Hydari, model Gabrielle Caunesil Pozzoli, and Turkish star Ayça Ayşin Turan. Adding rhythm to the elegance, the legendary Kool & the Gang electrified the evening with a live performance, blending classic tunes with Piaget’s contemporary spirit.
Piaget’s “Essence of Extraleganza” collection stole the spotlight. The gala highlighted signature pieces such as the transformable Shimmering Chains necklace, adorned with vibrant Colombian emeralds and masterful goldsmithing, and the Swinging Sautoir watch, an homage to the Maison’s creative golden age of the 1960s. The collection embodies bold craftsmanship, combining heritage techniques with avant-garde innovation to create jewellery that tells a story of timeless luxury.
Beyond the glittering jewellery, the event emphasized meaningful partnerships. Piaget joined forces with the Fatima Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI) to celebrate local artistry, incorporating traditional Emirati crafts such as Al-Sadu and Talli into the event’s design ethos. This collaboration highlights Piaget’s commitment to fostering connections between global artistry and local culture.
