The week opens with Vivienne Westwood, hosting her Middle East debut at Riyadh’s Palm Grove. The show features a capsule collection co-created with Saudi artisans from the Art of Heritage program. Carlo D’Amario, CEO of Vivienne Westwood, explained: “Today, fashion must go beyond aesthetics — it must be a connection between cultures. ‘Global-local’ is a key concept for us. Collaborating with Saudi artisans allows us to promote local traditions through an international perspective.” HRH Princess Nourah bint Mohammed Al Faisal, CEO of Art of Heritage, added, “Heritage is not a relic of the past, but a living force. Riyadh Fashion Week allows Saudi craftsmanship to speak to the world with authenticity and creativity.”

The 95% conscious, 100% cruelty-free collection underscores sustainability and material innovation, featuring vegan leather alternatives, recycled fabrics, and lead-free embroidery. Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, said, “Stella McCartney’s participation marks a milestone for Riyadh Fashion Week and for Saudi Arabia’s creative evolution. Her commitment to sustainability reflects the values we are championing as we build a responsible, forward-looking fashion ecosystem.”
