MARLI Steps into Timepieces with Motion and Measure

Motion and Measure brings New York energy into the world of Swiss watchmaking.

There is a natural progression to certain brands, a moment where their language expands rather than shifts. For MARLI New York, that moment arrives with the launch of MARLI Timepieces, a collection that moves the brand beyond jewellery and into watchmaking. Rooted in the idea of Motion and Measure, it brings together two distinct forces: the restless energy of New York and the disciplined precision of Swiss craftsmanship.

MARLI

At its core, the collection is built on contrast. Motion reflects New York, its constant movement, its upward momentum, its refusal to pause. Measure belongs to Switzerland, where watchmaking is defined by rigour, heritage, and exactness.

The result is not a compromise between the two, but a dialogue. MARLI positions time not as something to track, but something to inhabit. Each piece carries that philosophy, encouraging a more deliberate, present relationship with time itself.

The pieces themselves extend MARLI’s established design language. Architectural lines, sharp geometry, and the brand’s signature pyramid motif translate seamlessly into watch form. Dials crafted from natural mother-of-pearl create a subtle play of light, giving each timepiece a layered, almost sculptural quality.

Behind that aesthetic is a commitment to technical precision. Swiss manufacturing underpins the collection, ensuring that each watch meets the expectations of a category long defined by heritage and expertise. As founder and creative director Maral Artinian describes it, the process was approached with “deep respect for Swiss craftsmanship,” balancing creativity with discipline.

The launch unfolds across three case sizes, each offering a distinct expression of the brand’s identity.

The L23 and L30 models lean into refinement, available in 18k rose gold, white gold, and stainless steel, with interchangeable satin or alligator straps that shift easily between formal and everyday wear. Both models are also offered with an 18k rose gold bracelet or a fully diamond-set 18k white gold bracelet. The L23 features 400 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the L30 is set with 344, marking the collection’s most radiant interpretation.

The L35 introduces a more contemporary edge. Crafted in rose gold and titanium, and paired with rubber straps in a range of colours, it carries a sportier energy. Inside, a Swiss automatic movement anchors the piece, bringing technical depth to its modern design.

Alongside the physical collection, MARLI introduces a digital layer. Its blockchain-based certification platform allows each piece to be authenticated and tracked, creating a transparent record of ownership that can move with the watch over time.

It is a subtle but significant addition, one that aligns with a broader shift in how luxury is experienced and preserved.

With MARLI Timepieces, the brand does not abandon its roots, it sharpens them. Jewellery becomes time, but the intention remains the same: to create objects that feel personal, expressive, and quietly powerful.

Available from May 2026, the collection marks a new chapter, one that feels less like a departure and more like a continuation, measured, deliberate, and very much in motion.
