With Ramadan just around the corner, some of the biggest fashion houses in the world have launched exclusive capsule collections. During the holy month, in the Middle East and elsewhere, people often choose to keep their fashion choices modest.
Each year more brands and fashion houses release collections dedicated to the month of Ramadan, and with the Middle East making a name for itself on the fashion scene, this is no surprise. Arab culture is being embraced, and luxe brands are catering to the GCC market. From trendy full-length clothing to must-have accessories, here are YUNG’s best Ramadan capsules.
Fendi
Fendi has released a Middle East exclusive collection in commemoration of the holy month. The collection includes some of Fendi’s classic codes, while some of the Maison’s most iconic silhouettes have been redesigned for the region. The collection also includes some of Fendi’s most notable accessories – including the Peekaboo, Baguette, and Fendi First bag, women’s shoes, jewellery, and other textile accessories. These accessories are finished off with gold accents to cater for the opulence that the region has become known for.
Miu Miu
Blending modesty, elegance, simplicity modesty and glamour, Miu Miu has presented its Ramadan capsule, which includes ready-to-wear, bags, shoes, and accessories to keep you at your sharpest throughout the month and the Eid celebration. The ready-to-wear pieces combine feminine silhouettes with sophisticated details and gentle shades. The brand also released two new bag shapes – one that resembles a vanity case, and the other a small cross-body design, alongside the Miu Wander. The brand’s signature loafers and Mary Janes are given a crystal-encrusted uplift, while sandals are accented with stones.
Prada
Prada is celebrating the month of Ramadan by highlighting the shifting nature of time. The women’s ready-to-wear collection, and accessories feature a colour palette of sky blue to deep navy and black. Silk blouses and gowns are embellished with silk embroidery, the collection also includes bags including the Prada Galleria mini bag and leather sandals. Prada also created a line of menswear for Ramadan. The menswear collection features warm, earthy shades.
Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta marked the holy month with a capsule collection of accessories. The Jodie, Loop, Knot and Clicker have all been given a limited-edition uplift. The accessories will now feature in wine and envy colourways.
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton has launched a capsule collection of elegant day and eveningwear to celebrate the month where people convene to share in the celebration. The French Maison released a collection that highlights Vuitton’s tradition of refinement. The collection includes leather goods, ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and fragrances. The Alma BB and Cluny Mini are rendered in timeless camel colourways while the Coussin PM, Dauphine MM, Capucines XS Wallet and Capucines Mini Flower Crown are given a metallic finish.
Balenciaga
The Balenciaga Ramadan 23 series includes the brand’s favourite items that are reimagined to celebrate the holy month. Available online and in Balenciaga stores in the Middle East, classic items for women, men and children are offered in new colourways like taupe, gold, and navy. The Crush Wallet on Chain is rendered in crocodile embossed salmon pink, while the Square Knife BB Pump is rendered in metallic gold. The collection also features T-shirts, hoodies, and sweat shorts featuring Balenciaga’s logo in black or white.
Loro Piana
Loro Piana has put together a selection of versatile and delicate offerings. Voluminous trouser suits, dresses and kaftans are rendered in beige and gold, recalling the hues of the desert.
