Begüm Khan (Instagram) was founded by creative Begüm Kıroğlu in 2012, to offer authentic designs that combine the mystical elements of the East with a sense of contemporary modernism. Kıroğlu comes from a family of art collectors, who focus on Ottoman art and who are based in Istanbul.
Begüm Khan has announced the release of a new series of pieces that will join the brand’s much-loved Deep Sea Collection. The summer collection will see the addition of a range of designs that celebrate the depths of the sea and all things within it.
Inspired by untold eons of time, Begüm Khan adorns marine creatures with crystal and opal stones, creating a sense of elegance, charm and sophistication with each and every piece. Inspired by the seas and their colours the pieces add a sense of individuality and charm to an outfit.
The sea shells, sea stars, shrimp and fish-inspired pieces sparkle with a pure, unadulterated sense of fun and add more than a little glamour to any outfit.
After graduating from university in Milan and from Fudan University in China, Kıroğlu launched her eponymous studio. Influenced by nature and inspired by her travels, the designer brings together an incredible world of flora and fauna and her contemporary designs can be found in some of the world’s finest retailers and boutiques. Every item is hand-crafted by Turkish artisans in Istanbul.
