Spring is that wonderful time when people gather around on the riviera and enjoy drinks in the sun. Hermes produced a collection for its Spring 2023 collection that showed summer tones. The collection is about the Spring – Summer holidays on the riviera.
The show was outside the historic Manufacture des Gobelins, where guests enjoyed the pure escapism. Veronique Nichanian said the collection is “all about the holiday – not the city. It’s about lightness and having fun, pop colours and the natural world.”
Models dressed for a rendezvous on the riviera. Key items from the collection included sunshine yellow twinsets and marine-themed tops with a cashmere sweater in short sleeves that boasted a crayfish on the front. Shirts came in roomy cuts, with a big blue seahorse printed on the front.
The collection was made for luxurious practicality and empathy. Minimalist luxury pieces filled the collection including a lilac crocodile blouson and masculine Birkin’s gridded with a distorted check. Other pieces in the collection seen difficult colours like apricot, lilac and raspberry blended through layering in a collection that brought together sporty archetypes and formal pieces. Suiting came crafted from pyjama light cotton, with trousers featuring discreet elastics that hide beneath the jacket’s skirt.
The collection is made to be worn on warm days, enjoying the coastline, and if you can’t be there, wearing this collection will transport you to a summer on the riviera.
