As Ramadan approaches, Abu Dhabi is set to host one of its most anticipated cultural events, the 18th edition of Mirbad (Instagram). Running from today, March 6, until March 10, at Manarat Al Saadiyat, the pop-up event returns with a theme that merges nostalgia with modern creativity—Mirbad: The Night and its Stars. This year, visitors can expect a dynamic showcase of fashion, art, and immersive experiences inspired by the golden era of Egyptian cinema.

Mirbad has long been celebrated for transforming heritage into contemporary experiences, and this year is no exception. The event brings together over 120 local and international brands, featuring everything from high-end jewellery and homeware to cutting-edge fashion. Expect to see names like R’A Signature, Euphoria, L’Posh Abayas, Oud Al Khoori, Maveroc, and Thahab Lawal, alongside global labels such as Yass and Yass, Flabelus, Shresht, and L’Atelier Nawbar.

Mirbad is also a cultural hub. Visitors can indulge in live oud music, henna artistry, and interactive workshops including candle-making, crochet, and bracelet crafting. For cinephiles, Mirbad Cinema will be a must-visit, featuring vintage Egyptian film clips and a show-stopping hologram performance of the legendary Oum Kalthoom.

No Ramadan event would be complete without indulgent flavours, and Mirbad delivers with a carefully curated selection of food vendors offering traditional and contemporary dishes. The setting will evoke the ambiance of a historic souq, while still catering to modern tastes and experiences.

Beyond its cultural offerings, Mirbad continues its mission of conscious commerce. Over the years, the event has raised more than AED 1 million for charity. This edition will support both the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the SEDRA Foundation, reinforcing Mirbad’s dedication to social impact.

Open nightly from 9 pm to 2 am, Mirbad provides an unforgettable opportunity to celebrate Ramadan through a blend of fashion, art, and community spirit. Whether you’re looking to discover new designers, experience nostalgic Egyptian cinema, or simply immerse yourself in Abu Dhabi’s vibrant creative scene, Mirbad: The Night and its Stars is the place to be.
