The Hoxton is officially heading to Dubai.
The London-born hotel brand will make its Middle East debut with The Hoxton, Dubai Media City, marking its first property in the UAE and a significant step in its international expansion. Developed in partnership between Ennismore and Dubai-based Select Group, the new hotel will reimagine an existing building through a multi-million-dirham transformation, introducing The Hoxton’s distinctive mix of hospitality, culture and neighbourhood life to one of the city’s most creative districts.
For a brand that has built its reputation around becoming part of the places it enters, Dubai Media City feels like a natural starting point. Surrounded by media companies, studios, entrepreneurs and digital businesses, the neighbourhood sits between Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and Jumeirah Lake Towers and has developed its own increasingly visible creative community.
The hotel will feature 230 guest rooms, with interiors by Ennismore’s in-house AIME Studios. Rather than the polished uniformity associated with many traditional hotels, The Hoxton has long leaned towards spaces that feel residential, layered and deliberately lived-in. That language will carry through the Dubai property, pairing the brand’s established identity with references to its new surroundings.
At the centre of the experience will be the lobby, historically one of The Hoxton’s defining spaces. Conceived as somewhere for locals as much as overnight guests, it will operate as a meeting place throughout the day while hosting pop-ups, collaborations and cultural programming intended to connect the hotel with Dubai’s creative scene.
Food and nightlife will play an equally important role. The offering will be curated by Paris Society and include four concepts spanning everything from handrolls to rooftop drinks.
French restaurateur Moïse Sfez will make his Dubai debut with Onaka, a Japanese handroll bar, while Bleachers will reinterpret the traditional sports bar through a more social, design-conscious lens. Il Bambini Club, Paris Society’s lively Italian trattoria concept, will bring its open kitchen and energetic atmosphere to the property, while Tope, The Hoxton’s rooftop concept already found in cities including Barcelona, Portland and Brussels, will serve Mexican-inspired dishes and cocktails above the city.
But perhaps the most significant addition is one that has never appeared inside a Hoxton before.

Dubai will become home to the brand’s first wellness club, positioning wellbeing not as an add-on but as one of the property’s central social spaces.
The extensive club will combine a large gym floor, movement studios, treatment rooms, contrast therapy facilities and a members’ lounge. Designed in The Hoxton’s familiar residential style, it aims to move away from the clinical aesthetic of conventional fitness clubs and towards something more informal and community-focused.
A healthy café concept, Beaum, will extend the experience beyond exercise and recovery, creating another space where guests and members can meet. The idea is to bring movement, wellbeing and social connection together under one roof, with the club open not only to hotel guests but to the wider Dubai community.
“Wellness and wellbeing sit at the heart of everything we build,” says Israr Liaqat, Group CEO of Select Group, describing the new club as a natural extension of the developer’s approach to its residential and hospitality projects.
For The Hoxton, Dubai also represents a major geographical milestone. The brand began in Shoreditch, East London, before expanding across Europe and the United States. It currently operates 19 hotels, with further properties planned for cities including Melbourne, Oslo, Nashville, Mexico City and Bengaluru.
“Dubai has long been on our wish list,” says Louis Abboud, Group Chief Growth Officer and COO of IMEAT & APAC at Ennismore. “We’ve always felt The Hoxton, with its strong sense of purpose and community, would bring something fresh to a neighbourhood already brimming with creativity.”
The arrival comes as Ennismore continues to expand rapidly across the Middle East, where its portfolio already includes more than 70 hotels and resorts. Yet The Hoxton introduces a different proposition to Dubai’s increasingly varied hotel landscape, one where the lobby, rooftop, restaurant, gym and neighbourhood are intended to blur into one another.
With its mix of design, dining, culture and a new emphasis on wellness, The Hoxton is arriving in Dubai with a clear ambition to create the kind of hotel that becomes part of the neighbourhood around it.
