Alexander McQueen’s Autumn Winter 2022 Menswear looks were conceived at the same time as the pre-fall collection, but the house decided to hold back media from the collection.
The Autumn/Winter 2022 Menswear collection is fitted with fair isle knits, similar to that used in the pre-fall collection. Beaded suiting and Cuban heeled boots featured initials and other scribbled fancies, as well as hearts produced in embroidered pin and crystal and featured on clothing items. The same embroidery is prevalent in the house’s pre-fall collection. Other key items from the collection include a one-shouldered dress that has been purposefully crumbled and worn over a t-shirt and pants.
Pants were constructed to feature in-built jacket lapel skirts. Heatmap decoration in vibrant colours was blown up and used on suiting and outerwear. Other key pieces included graffiti jacquard and a trench crafted from the same crumple material from which the man-dress was created.
Jewellery came in the form of multi-hoop ear sets and double signet rings in antique silver, silver, gold, and dark ruthenium metal. Models also wore Ear cuffs, double-hoop ear sets, clean stacked rings, thin metal chokers, and flat chain chokers in antique silver.
Accessories also include a four-ring zip pouch and four-ring messenger bag in black leather, with an antique silver metal spike and stud accents. The McQueen biker bag comes in black leather, while the mini Four-Ring zip pouch is crafted with black leather and finished with crystal graffiti embroidery.
