For Summer Fall 26, Alaïa turns inward. The Maison’s latest campaign, Archetypes, tells a tale of refinement, intimacy, and the quiet force of the silhouette. Starring Hailey Bieber and photographed by Tyrone Lebon under the creative direction of Pieter Mulier, the campaign explores the enduring language of Alaïa through a lens of restraint, sensuality, and sculptural precision.

Set inside Graces Mews, Tyrone Lebon’s London gallery, the campaign marks the first time the space has been used as the backdrop for a fashion campaign. The setting feels deliberate. Minimal interiors, glass furniture, and near-monochrome surroundings mirror Alaïa’s long-standing relationship with architecture and form, creating an environment where every gesture, fabric, and silhouette feels heightened.

At the centre is Hailey Bieber, whose presence embodies the campaign’s tension between softness and control. Rather than relying on overt styling theatrics, the imagery focuses on movement, posture, and material. Across the series, Bieber shifts through a wardrobe conceived as a complete Alaïa repertoire, blending emblematic house signatures with newer explorations in technique and construction.

The collection itself continues Pieter Mulier’s fascination with the body as both structure and landscape. Suede appears in architectural forms, while jersey and leather mould closely to the silhouette, functioning almost like a second skin. Elsewhere, tactile surfaces and sculpted knitwear move between concealment and revelation, balancing sensuality with precision. Floral motifs emerge in vivid bursts, extending the chromatic intensity first introduced during the Winter Spring 26 show.

What makes Archetypes compelling is its refusal to overcomplicate itself. Instead, the campaign distils Alaïa down to its most recognisable codes: sculptural construction, empowered femininity, and an understanding of fashion as something emotional as much as visual. There is an intimacy to the imagery that feels increasingly rare within contemporary luxury campaigns, where scale and excess often dominate.

Through Lebon’s lens, the collection feels alive rather than static. Each frame captures clothing not simply as garments, but as extensions of movement and identity. Jewellery and accessories become part of the silhouette rather than additions to it, reinforcing the idea of a fully realised Alaïa woman.

Ultimately, Alaïa Summer Fall 26 Archetypes is a study in clarity. By reducing everything to its essence, the campaign reveals the enduring power of simplicity, proving once again that Alaïa’s vision of femininity remains both timeless and entirely modern.
