Presented in partnership with PUBLIC, the first edition of Duette+ transforms the restaurant at Dubai Mall into a Cultural Clubhouse. Running until 2 August, the project brings together listening, design, film, conversations, collections and community within one evolving space.
Rather than producing another event with a fixed beginning and end, Duette+ invites people to return throughout the month. Visitors can stop by to work, meet friends, enjoy a coffee, discover new objects or simply slow down in the middle of one of Dubai’s busiest destinations.
As the day moves into evening, the clubhouse changes through a programme of film screenings, workshops, listening sessions and conversations. Artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers and creative practitioners from across the region come together to share ideas and create new connections.
Music plays an important role in the experience. Created in collaboration with RAW Music Store ME, the dedicated Listening Room celebrates analogue sound through specialist audio equipment and carefully curated vinyl selections. The focus is on active listening, inviting visitors to experience music as something more meaningful than background sound.
The spatial experience has been developed with Vitra by Dhow Architectural Solutions. Through furniture and thoughtful layouts, different areas of the clubhouse encourage conversation, collaboration and a sense of community.
Visitors can also explore EDIT, Curated by Duette, a selection of furniture, art, books, independent publications, fashion, vinyl records and objects from international and home grown brands. The collection extends the project’s approach to discovery, presenting pieces that reflect the creative world surrounding the clubhouse.
Duette+ also moves beyond the walls of PUBLIC through its weekly Creative Run Club. Powered by New Balance, the initiative brings together runners, designers, photographers and creatives before returning to the clubhouse for breakfast, music and conversation. It connects movement with culture while introducing a different way for Dubai’s creative community to meet.
Founded by Fuad Ali and Rahat Kunakunova, Duette Studio is an independent creative lab working across public art, spatial design and cultural programming. Its projects explore how design and storytelling can encourage curiosity and meaningful human connection.
With Duette+, the studio creates a temporary space that feels open, flexible and constantly changing. Every visit offers something different, encouraging people to return, reconnect and continue the conversation.
