During the iconic halls of Madinat Jumeirah came alive with artistic brilliance as Piaget (Instagram) unveiled its much-anticipated “Play of Shapes” exhibition at Art Dubai 2025 (Instagram). As the exclusive Watch and Jewellery Partner of the fair, Piaget once again reasserted its legacy of creative audacity and fine craftsmanship—merging heritage with modern artistry in a celebration unlike any other.

An Immersive Journey Through Five Universes

Upon entering the Piaget booth, visitors were transported into a meticulously curated world of elegance and imagination. The space was divided into five thematic universes: Play of Shapes, House of Gold, Vibrant Colours, Ultra-Thin Mastery, and the iconic Piaget Society. Each universe offered a unique perspective into the Maison’s rich history, technical expertise, and its unwavering devotion to art as a medium of expression.

Celebrating Sixty Years of Timeless Design

At the heart of the exhibition was the unveiling of Piaget’s newest masterpieces—timepieces and jewellery that transcend function and become wearable art. The “Play of Shapes” exhibition highlighted signature pieces like the Swinging Sautoirs, sculptural cuff watches, a reimagined Piaget Polo 79 in white gold, and radiant High Jewellery Watches that shimmered with artistic audacity. Each creation told a story—not just of time, but of the Maison’s enduring spirit.

A Star is Born: The Sixtie Collection

One of the most anticipated moments came with the launch of the Sixtie Jewellery Watch Collection, an ode to the Maison’s golden era of the late 1960s. With its bold trapeze-shaped design, the Sixtie dazzled as both jewel and timepiece—a talisman of free-spirited femininity that echoed the avant-garde glamour of its era. From the Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire, Piaget breathed new life into archival codes, creating a sophisticated piece that felt both nostalgic and revolutionary.

Andy Warhol’s Watch Returns to the Spotlight

Adding a bold pop of cultural heritage, Piaget spotlighted its most art-world-savvy timepiece—the Andy Warhol Watch. Once the favorite of the legendary pop artist himself, the Black Tie 15102 has now been officially renamed in his honor. Vintage models from Warhol’s own collection, new colorful interpretations, and exclusive made-to-order designs formed a tribute to Warhol’s friendship with Yves Piaget and their shared love for glamour, bold aesthetics, and boundary-breaking design.

Art in Motion: Piaget x Alymamah Rashed

In an inspired collaboration that brought the house’s core theme full circle, Piaget teamed up with acclaimed Kuwaiti artist Alymamah Rashed. Her bespoke painting—”Your Love Moves Around My Trapeze Sun (Will You Hold Our Glistening Light?)”—reimagined the trapeze motif of the Sixtie watch as a celestial sun, glowing with golden leaf, rich pigments, and poetic surrealism. Rashed’s signature multi-eyed figures invited viewers to step into Piaget’s rhythmic world, experiencing the Maison’s creativity as a radiant, collective force.

Cultural Elegance: Piaget x Shamsa Alabbar

Piaget’s homage to the Gulf’s heritage found elegant expression in its collaboration with Emirati designer Shamsa Alabbar. Fusing traditional Arabic symbolism with contemporary design, the limited-edition Limelight Gala Precious watch was reinterpreted through Alabbar’s iconic Token motif, engraved by hand in the Decor Palace style. Adorned with a mother-of-pearl dial and golden arabesque detailing, the piece paid tribute to maritime legacy, unity, and timeless beauty—an exquisite union of Swiss precision and Arabic artistry.

As the sun set on Art Dubai 2025, Piaget’s presence lingered—a glowing reminder that time, when shaped by true visionaries, becomes not just something to measure, but something to behold.
