The Middle East continues to boom and all our favourite luxury brands are coming to our shores. Spanish luxury house Loewe is the latest in a long line to open a flagship store in Dubai in recent months. Under the direction of Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, the latest flagship outpost will offer visitors a blend of fashion, art, and crafts.

CASA LOEWE Dubai, like the house’s other stores – including LOEWE Place Vendome and Loewe Galleria, melds natural materials with vibrant tones and a cool industrial finish. The result is a composed and inviting space. The store, fronted by a vivid burgundy hue is accented by hand-glazed, enamelled Spanish ceramics in shades of green, blue, grey, and gold.

Creating a conversation through art and culture

The store is lined with hand-selected works from the House’s expanding anthology of international art and craft. Loewe is committed to intelligent visual expression, which can be found in the store through an array of sculptures, ceramics, paintings, and textiles. These pieces of art from parts of the world create a creative conversation that spans different forms, eras and thinking. Pieces at CASA LOEWE Dubai include ceramic plates by legendary South African potter Hylton Nels, a bronze cast of oyster shells by Alice Andrea Ewing and Kazuhito Takadoi’s sculpture ‘Kado’. All of these, and other pieces of art, can be found displayed throughout the store.

Loewe’s Middle East Exclusive Collection

The launch of its first Middle East flagship store is accompanied by a versatile collection that is exclusive to the Middle east. The collection is made up of ready-to-wear, bags and accessories that are crafted from luxurious fabrics. Clothing comes in the form of tunic dresses and pyjama sets in silk, satin and Nappa leather.

The Middle East exclusive also features two new versions of the Puzzle Edge bag in a colour palette from the brand’s SS/23 runway collection. Shades of lilac, butter yellow and vanilla white dominate the accessories. Crafted in calfskin leather, the bag comes in both small and mini sizes.

Loewe’s Middle East campaign features regional stars

To celebrate the launch of its latest flagship store, the brand launched a video that included regional stars, Dana Hourani, Karen Wazan and Twins Habdan. Dressed in pieces from Loewe’s latest collection, the influencers spell out the brand’s name letter by letter, write it in the air and even translate it into Arabic, scrawling it in red on Perspex. You might be interested to note that Loewe is pronounced “Lo-weh-vay”, in three distinct syllables, as becomes obvious when it’s written in Arabic.
