There are places that understand summer as a season. Mykonos has always understood it as a tempo. Slow mornings. Long lunches. Golden-hour decisions that turn into night. The sound of the sea in the background and the quiet conviction that nothing urgent should be allowed to disturb the view.

ROKA Mykonos now enters that rhythm, opening on Paraga Beach with its signature contemporary Japanese dining, curated cocktails and a day-to-night setting shaped around the island’s particular kind of ease. Set within the newly launched Hotel Fouquet’s Mykonos, the restaurant brings ROKA’s celebrated robatayaki experience to the edge of the Aegean, where clear water, bright afternoons and starry evenings do much of the talking.

ROKA Mykonos is positioned as a complete beachside retreat, not simply a place to eat and leave. Guests can move between poolside lounging beside the infinity pool and beach beds set close to the shimmering coastline, with sea breezes, attentive service and uninterrupted views forming the day’s natural structure.

It is a setting built for duration. Mornings arrive slowly. Afternoons stretch. Cocktails find their moment as the light begins to change. By evening, the restaurant shifts again, carrying the atmosphere into a more energetic register as curated DJ sessions bring a refined contemporary pulse to the space.
Framed by the raw beauty of the Cyclades, the restaurant has been designed to sit in conversation with its surroundings. The interiors balance understated sophistication with the relaxed elegance associated with summer on the island, while accents of warm amber and ROKA’s burnished saffron tones run through the furnishings.

Against the blue of the horizon, those details become part of the theatre. Nothing feels forced. The point is not to compete with the view, but to hold it properly.
At the heart of ROKA Mykonos is the restaurant and bar, where contemporary Japanese robatayaki takes on an open-air, seaside character. From the Robata Grill, guests can expect Whole Grilled Seabass with shiso pesto and wasabi, Baby Back Pork Ribs with sansho and cashew nuts, and ROKA’s beloved Black Cod, marinated in yuzu miso.

The menu also moves through fresh sushi and sashimi, with highlights including Yellowtail Sashimi drizzled with yuzu truffle dressing, Wagyu Tempura with caramelised onions and chives, and Crispy Salmon Temakis with chilli and yuzu. It is a menu built for sharing, lingering and returning to the table between dips in the sea and conversations that refuse to end quickly.
Drinks are central to the Mykonos experience, and ROKA leans into that with an extensive selection of cold and hot sake, refined wines, refreshing beers and curated cocktails. Exclusive to ROKA Mykonos, signature serves include the Watermelon Spritz, Super Paloma and Sakura75.

These are made for long lazy lunches, sunset aperitifs and dinners that begin with good intentions before the island takes over. As the day moves into evening, the rhythm shifts, turning Paraga Beach into a place for both escape and arrival.
Together, ROKA and Hotel Fouquet’s Mykonos create a new island address built around the pleasures of summer done well: exceptional food, crafted cocktails, sea views, and the kind of day-to-night momentum that Mykonos has made its own.
