Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low sneaker sold out in double-quick time on release the other day.
You’re surprised, we can tell.
Apparently Scott’s website amassed 2.4 million raffle entries in about 30 minutes, causing meltdown and major disappointment for most that tried. You can still cop a few select pieces from the collection there, key chains and hoodies, but it’s the sneakers you want, we get that.
Thankfully, you still have a chance, with a wider release set for July 21 on the SNKRS website. It’s time to get your game face on. Resale hell awaits those that miss out. Here’s what you need to know.
Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low
Travis Scott is treating sneakerheads to a Reverse Mocha Cactus Jack Collection. The drop is accompanied by an Air Jordan 1 Low OG reverse Mocha. Kitted out head-to-toe in Travis Scott Reverse Mocha.
The Reverse Mocha collection takes its inspiration from the earthy colourway of the grailed Travis Scott x Jordan 1 High Mocha. Shades of brown, white, and cream are accented with a burst of colour in red, orange, and pink.
The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG is crafted from nubuck material in the collabs signature colorway and accented with white overlays in premium leather. The classic Swoosh is exaggerated and extends to the heel on the medial sides of the shoe.
The lateral sides feature the iconic reversed swoosh
And as the the man does not do regular drops, the sneakers will come packaged in a special edition Swoosh box that’s been wrapped in the collaboration’s trademark palette (probably be worth a bit of money in years to come, this box, keep it safe).
The Apparel
The apparel range comprises zip-up hoodies, crewneck sweaters, t-shirts, sweatpants, and accessories. Maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves here a little, but an early prediction is that pieces like the New Sight Zip Up Hoodie are on their way to grail status. Not far behind, we could see the Reverse Dog Hoodie, and Painters Button Up Shirt reaching legendary status.
Graphic T-shirts from the collection come in a range of styles that including the Reverse Jack Long Sleeve Tee, the Artifacts Tee, and the Dream It Tee. All of which can be worn with the new Air Jordan 1 Low and CJ Flare Sweatpants – should you want to go full kit.
