Following the incredible, and highly successful first edition held last year, Art D’Egypte will once again bring its acclaimed Forever is Now exhibition to the Pyramids of Giza. The platform works to promote Egyptian art to the world through its exhibition. Art D’Egypte is once again inviting artists and cultural movers to showcase their work.
Forever Now II is set to be held between October 27 and November 30, showcasing contemporary art, while paying homage to this year’s themes: the environment, the people, and the future.
“Our global success last year motivated us to develop new plans that will amaze the world once more,” said Nadine Abdel Ghaffar, founder of Art D’Egypte. “We have worked hard over the years to establish Art D’Egypte as one of the region’s premier art consultancies and we are proud to bring you this latest endeavour.”
Building on last year’s momentum, the second edition will aim to exhibit the concerns facing the climate at a time when humanity is facing a catastrophic climatic crisis. At the same time, the event will showcase the glory of the pyramids, as well as the significant other ancient civilisations, connecting the old with the new, and the past with the present and future.
The themes of this year’s edition will be addressed through the works of multidisciplinary artists Jwan Yosef from Sweden, Natali Clark, and Tunisian calligrapher eL Seed, among eight other artists. Displayed artworks and installations that will be showcased at this year’s event are understood to be produced from locally sourced materials like Fibre glass , steel, stone, and marble.
Art D’Egypte aims to be a forward-thinking and innovative platform that serves as a cultural operator, advocating sustainable development in the field of art through its cultural preservation. The body strives to promote Egyptian art and artists to the rest of the world through annual exhibitions at heritage sites in the country.
