For more than 90 years, the Reverso has remained one of watchmaking’s most recognizable silhouettes. Originally created in 1931 for British army officers playing polo in India, the swivelling case was designed to protect the watch face during matches. What began as a practical sports innovation quickly evolved into a symbol of timeless elegance, transcending generations while remaining deeply rooted in the Art Deco codes that shaped its identity.
Now, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a new interpretation of the icon with the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds in pink gold, paired with a refined Milanese mesh bracelet and a textured golden dial. The new model re-imagines the historic watch through a softer, more jewellery-like lens while maintaining the clean geometry and reversible case that define the Reverso legacy.
The watch’s new Milanese bracelet plays a central role in this evolution. Crafted from woven pink gold threads, the bracelet requires at least 16 metres of pink gold wire to create its intricate “Pezza” structure. Originally tracing back to 13th-century Milan where the technique was used in chainmail armour, Milanese mesh later became a signature in Renaissance jewellery before returning as a statement in 1970s watchmaking. Today, Jaeger-LeCoultre revives this craftsmanship with a contemporary finish that feels both elegant and versatile.

The slim 7.56mm pink gold case integrates seamlessly with the bracelet, enhancing the fluidity of the design on the wrist. Meanwhile, the textured golden dial introduces visual depth through delicate stamping techniques, contrasting against the polished surfaces of the case and bracelet. Applied hour markers and Dauphine hands reinforce the purity of the original 1931 Reverso design, while the small seconds counter at six o’clock softens the linear geometry with a circular detail.
Inside, the watch is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s manually wound Calibre 822, developed, produced, and assembled entirely within the Maison. The movement consists of 108 components, measures only 2.93mm thick, and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
The Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds reflects the enduring adaptability of the Reverso itself. Across decades, the watch has continuously balanced contrasts — sporty yet elegant, masculine yet refined, historic yet modern. This latest edition continues that dialogue, proving that true icons never stand still; they evolve with time while preserving the essence that made them timeless in the first place.
