On a memorable evening during London Fashion Week, Tod’s (Instagram) hosted an intimate cocktail event to celebrate its newest collaboration with renowned Indian designer Rahul Mishra (Instagram). Held at the brand’s luxurious Old Bond Street boutique, the event was a perfect blend of fashion, craftsmanship, and culture, attracting a star-studded guest list and offering a first look at the exquisite Rahul Mishra x Tod’s collection.
This collaboration is the latest installment of the Tod’s Factory project, a creative initiative where both emerging and established designers are invited to reinterpret Tod’s signature style and iconic heritage. The Rahul Mishra x Tod’s collection brings a fresh perspective to Tod’s, drawing inspiration from nature and fusing it with contemporary design elements.
Guests at the event were treated to a live demonstration of Tod’s craftsmanship, where artisans showcased the meticulous techniques used to create the brand’s iconic pieces, such as the Di Bag, Gommino loafers, and T Timeless accessories. Adding to the allure, Rahul Mishra’s signature Kaarigar embroidery techniques were highlighted, offering an up-close look at the intricate handwork and attention to detail that define this collection.
The evening was attended by a glittering array of celebrities and fashion insiders, including Ashley Park, Paul Forman, Amelia and Eliza Spencer, Freddy Carter, Ella Richards, Imran Amed, Mouni Roy, Rahi Chadda, Saffron Vadher, Sabrina Bahsoon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Blanca Padilla, and Francisco Lachowski. As they mingled and explored the new collection, the unique fusion of Italian luxury and Indian craftsmanship was on full display.
The “Rahul Mishra x Tod’s” collection is a tribute to the union of Italian quality and Indian craftsmanship, a celebration of timeless elegance reimagined for the modern world. With each piece, Rahul Mishra brings his signature style, blending traditional Kaarigar hand embroidery with Tod’s iconic designs. The collection features vibrant floral motifs woven with silk threads on metallic nappa leather and velvet, capturing the essence of Rahul Mishra’s Tree of Life design. The intricate embellishments with gold zari, crystals, beads, and sequins transform Tod’s accessories into luxurious couture pieces.
As Rahul Mishra himself puts it, “We developed a limited edition of Tod’s iconics, including the Tod’s Gommino and Di Bag, drawing inspiration from nature, my constant muse, crafting classic in-house motifs and the distinctive foliage, synonymous with my designs.
