Jaeger-LeCoultre Marks the 30th Anniversary of The Master Control With Two New Iterations

To mark its third decade of the Master Control, Jaeger-LeCoultre will launch two new watch iterations that demonstrate the Maison’s commitment to the highest standards and levels of watchmaking excellence. The watch was a milestone in that it marked the beginning of the 1000 Hours Control system – an internal quality standard at Jaeger-LeCoultre. The system was then carried out throughout the entire company and is now synonymous with the quality of the Maison.

In a world where watchmaking has entered levels and standards that have never been seen before, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to push boundaries and remain at the forefront of the 21^st century horological craft.

The Master Collection will now be enriched with two stainless steel models which feature sunray-finished dials in a shade of blue. Each watch will also feature all the essential codes of the Master Collection, including the combination of applied Arabic Numerals with faceted dart markers for hours, faceted dauphine hour and minute hands. These watches will also come with bevelled lugs that curve towards the strap attachment.

These watches are made for legibility and readability, where the minute scales are toned in a lighter blue. In contrast, distinct minute divisions are marked with dot markers in Super-LumiNova for a precise indication of time. The moonphase complication works in tandem with the small seconds sub-dial, and the date hand jumps 90 degrees between the 15^th and the 16^th day of each month. This fine detail allows that the moonphase and small seconds sub-dial is never bisected by the date hand.

Both versions of the Master Control will come with matching blue straps in calf leather, trimmed with complementary blue stitching that extends across the strap, giving these new straps an allure of the vintage.

Each watch will feature Jaeger-LeCoultre’s in-house automatic movements. The Master Control Date will feature a calibre 899, while Master Control Calendar features a calibre 866, each boasting a 70hour power reserve. Each model will be limited to eight hundred pieces.
